    Savage Fox Model B

I recently picked up this gun in a trade, and I listed it in the manufacturing date section. I have no idea how old it is. I am posting it here because I have a question about stock repair. A good size splinter of the stock came off on the right side as you can see in the picture. I have the splinter, and would like to put it back on. I just don't want to do anything that would hurt the value of the gun. I know it is probably not the most valuable gun out there. Any suggestions on how to repair it, or should I just leave it off for caricter?

If the piece the broke off is complete, glue it back on with some Elmers contractor grade glue. Clamp or wrap in with rubber tubing the best you can and don't worry about over run, it will wipe off.

What he said. TiteBond II Premium (fast set time) or TiteBond III Ultimate (slower set time) wood glue would work as well as they're both waterproof. Biggest thing is making sure it's clamped good once it's glued.
