Question Model 10/110 BA Stealth - magazine loose

Hi - I'm an an amateur shooter and just got a Model 10 BA - beautiful rifle - tried it yesterday for the first time and had a few issues with the cartridge loading (.308 model using 168 grain) where I couldn't insert the round into the chamber properly - it also seems strange that the magazine cartridge is so loose, almost like not a good fit. Wondering if this is part of the issue with loading, and wondering if the magazine can be made to fit more securely ?? many thanks

Magazine had a slightly loose fit on the one I got in for review, but I didn't have any feeding issues. Might try a different magazine which would help tell you if it's a problem with that original magazine or the chassis.
