    shootin prone

Having a bad back makes it tough for me to shoot prone..I can do it with little or no pain
if I have my body off to an angle rather than getting into behind the gun..Is there
any regulation or rules saying I can't shoot like this in f class.....

That is actually proper prone position.....about 30 degrees to the bore.

In FClass you’ll be fine because you only shoot from one position. If you were shooting tactical matches you would see that there is a POI change depending on how you get “behind” the gun.

So as long as the rifle is zero’d that way and you are consistent you’ll be fine.

Can't beat the last two posts. I will add that there is no rule on the angle but I have been told that I cant use anything to support myself. My back is bad as well. I take 4 200mg ibuprofen to take the edge off.

When learning to shoot High Power the first thing you learn about is finding your "natural point of aim" and learning to repeat it quickly. The exercise is basically build your position, relax all tension out of your body, then close your eyes and BREATH. When you open your eyes see if you are still on target. If not shift lightly and try again. Practice finding it. Anywhere you feel tension instead of solid resting support work on getting that out until you are completely relaxed. You will magically find your pain spots and learn how to work with them for a good hold if you stay with it.

I don't have a bad back, but work keeps me away from the gun safe for extended periods of time. I always get sore when I start shooting again. I shoot high power and not f-class, but I participate in the 600 x3 matches that we have. At the end of the day I am usually uncomfortable. The point is dry fire and work on your NPA at home to build up to three strings of shooting prone. ETA: If the folks where you shoot are anything like my club they will bend over backwards to accommodate you.
