Cabela's bought back my 64F for what I paid them for it because Savage could not fix its light-strike problem. Yea for Cab's! No so yea for the smith shop at Savage.

I was having lots of light-strike problems with every ammo I tried. Many strikes were good hard punches. But the fails were obviously light and some with no mark at all. ???
- Fail rate of 20-40% at first. OUCH! Cab's sent it back no charge.
- Light strike problems continued, but less so, in the 10-25% range. Still OUCH! Cab's sent it back a 2nd time no charge.
- Still had light strike problems with almost one shot per 10rnd mag. CCI/MM were the best at just 8% fail. Common stuff 10-15%. Very OUCH!

Took it back to Cab's a third time. After a 3 sentence explanation and looking up the history they gave me my money back on the spot and sent the rife back to Savage. Otherwise I liked the 64 a LOT. What an accurate KISS plinker. Wish I did not have a lemon.

Picked up an A22-LR on sale for $199 a few days ago. Keep hope alive. Stay tuned.
