Trying to find info about new to me Savage & Manual

I just became the owner of a Savage 110 in 308 win (no other markings other than Savage company info that I can find) that was originally in a wood stock and has serial number F627xxx.

If anyone could give me info about this gun, and point me to a manual, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Eric

You have an older Savage, stagger feed action, top bolt release. Don't know off hand if you can still get a manual from Savage by calling them at the customer service number on their website. The "F" prefex in you serial number shows manufacture between May 89 and November 2001.

Thanks, I'll give them a call. I was really hoping there was one on-line somewhere.

You can either goto their website and download the manual or you can call them, they should be able to identify it by the serial number... even a partial as long as it's the first part of the serial

Link above is from their website. They have 3-4 manuals listed for Savage 10/110's, the link above is for the older pre-AccuTrigger/flat-top guns based on the photo's in the manual.

Do you think if he called them that they would be able to send him one?

Not sure on that, just depends on if they still have any laying around or not. Been quite a few years now since that gun was made so it's not something I would hold my breath on.

Right... hopefully he can find one on the web somewhere. Surely someone has one for it somewhere.
