Banning a gun will not solve what is a mental health crisis inflamed by incendiary rhetoric on social and television media. The first amendment in this case is less precious and more likely the causal factor than the second amendment.

When the "big one" hit in 1989 I was in my shop located in Fremont, right behind what is now the Tesla plant. The building I was in is now gone, and a BART station/tracks is in its place. Grew up on Peninsula, just a few miles south of SFO, Dad worked for Pan AM. Used to hunt in Foster City before it was built up, and in the bay for ducks. Fished most weekends too.
