Magazine not feeding

Savage 110. I bought an extra mag. Both mags, the bullet tip misses the chamber. Both about 1/16 low, fairly well centred left to right. Tried opening up the lips a bit, but does not seem to change the feeding.
Nor sure what to try next. 204 Ruger,BTW

Good luck, I am having the same problem with a 6x45 model 11. Hollow point bullets are the worst. I have 3 magazines that have fed every spitzer style bullet great. Move up to the sierra 75 hp and 2 feed 1 doesn't. Move to the sierra 85hpbt none will feed! I HAVE CHANGED SEATING DEPTHS BY OVER .100" NO LUCK. Some say bend the feed lips ,That didn't work for me. The magazine feed lips need to be 1/32"
longer and I feel this problem could be solved .try a different style bullet

Try twinking the mag spring so it puts more pressure the on the front
if that does not work put a very slight bevel on the bottom of the chamber

Any info out there on a single shot mag follower. This rifle is used for targets, ground squirrels and skunks.

I haven't tried this in a Savage but for my 223 Rem700 if I want to single feed I just swap the 223 AICS mag (made by MDT) for a 308aics mag and it works perfectly like a sled. Just perfect.
