    A22 22LR Question

I recently purchased an A22 22LR. There is an indentation in the end of the barrel. It is in the same area that the firing pin hits the casing. Is this normal? The same indentation is present on my savage 64f.

That's normal. It's a relief so that if you should dryfire the rifle there's less chance you will damage the firing pin.

I thought that it was normal but I wasn't sure. Thank you for your input.
