Hello,
I rebarrelled a 06 to 338-06 and bought a set of 30-06 go no go gauges.
This set stated it was good for 25-06, 30-06, and 270, along with 338-06.
So,I rebarrelled a Stevens 200 in 22-250 to 250 Savage, using a 250 Savage set of gauges.
I was plannning on using the 22-250 barrel on a project coyote beater gun, but looking at my gauge set, it does not set headspace for the 22-250.
Went researching go-no gauges, and multiple caliber uses for each, and the 250 savage stands alone.
Interesting also was that the two web pages I found this information on, didn't even have the 22-250 listed ?
So, long story short,
What is the reason the 250 Savage go - no go gauges are caliber specific ?
Then
Is the 22-250 gauge caliber specific also ?
Thanks
Not totally inept, just a little confused.
Getting older you know.
