    X caliber 260

Finally got around to getting some respectable results. Took a while to get the 142gr smks and H4831sc to work for me but I got it done. Relatively slow speeds but accurate and soft on the shoulder. Even out to 1k.
    LC brass, annealed, turned.
    CCI BR2 Primers
    .040 jump
    39.5gr h 4831sc
    2470fps @ 3800 ft elevation
    X caliber 26" 1/8 twist in 260 caliber
I don't need speed to send them out to 1k. If I find myself sending them out to 1 mile, then I'll use my 130gr vld berger and imr 4350 load going 2870fps.
I really like this load. Not a barrel burning, shoulder hurting, gun jumping load.

It took me forever it seemed to anneal, cut to length and turn 200 pieces of LC Brass but it was worth it. I'm finding myself really enjoying shooting for accuracy again thanks largely in part to the x caliber barrel.
80% of my shooting takes place at 500 to 1k yard distances and I just didn't see the need for higher speeds. I will admit I wasn't all that enthusiastic to search for lower speed loads but I'm glad I did.
Jim did an excellent job on the x caliber and I'm glad I went that route.
