Any gunsmith can take care of that for you, I was going to have one put on a model 16. 7mm wsm, 135.00 was going be the cost !!
Is it possible to put a muzzle brake on the 116 xp trophy hunter in a 300 win mag? The barrel measures .585 at muzzle so a standard 5/8" 24 pitch (.625") .308 MB won't work? I would have to go with a 1/2" threaded brake, which I only found one for .308. The Bear hunter must be a different contour? Maybe just buy a barrel that's already threaded? Or custom job?

I agree. They will probably face off at the muzzle not behind the thread.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
Witt machine bolt on brake.
Not the most elegant solution but they do work and accuracy is not an issue
I have a witt clamp on mounted on a 300 win mag. I would say it is about a 15 percent reduction.

Any other clamp-on brakes?
Looking for one for my 7mm.
And for my lady-friend's 243.
