    Hog hunter


    Want to upgrade my hog hunter 308, getting rid of the flex stock, what stock would be good...should I get an Savage accu stock...like to keep it more on the light side...I do not hunt, but would use it for plinking, self defense and such....any ideas...tnx!!

    I would look over on Boyd's website. I had one of the thumbhole varmint models on my hog hunter for a while and it was "plug-n-play", fit and finish was good. Pretty much anything you are gonna upgrade to is gonna add weight though.

    I just dropped a buddy's Hog Hunter into an HS Precision I had on hand. Probably heavier than what you want but he shot the best group of his life with this bedded stock. I'd also say check out Boyds, try a Prairie Hunter.
