    Savage LPV 223

Recently got a LPV in a 223 with a 7 twist. With the right guy pulling the trigger and right load, what size groups can I expect. It is 100% stock. SS 26 inch fluted Barrel and laminated stock. Thanks

Robinhood would you share that load? I am going to shoot Nosler Custom Competition 80's, I hope! I have already purchased a bunch of them. Thanks Daniel

My book is stowed away with most everything else. If I remember correctly it was 23.8 Reloder 15. You can do a load workup starting at 23.0 and go up to 24. 2. Edit. I just had a conversation with the man in my head and it might have been 24.8. Start low like the previous suggestion and work up. Look for signs of pressure. Whatever it was the velocity was around 2750 -2800.

Robinhood, I think your first thought was correct. After I did some testing, 23.4 and 23.6 was best for me. A buddy took the gun and worked up a load that put 4 shots into 1 hole so small it looked like 1 shot. I tried to measure the group, I came up with .136. his load was 23.5 and 80 gr. Sierra MK. BTW he only shot the 4 rounds.

Awesome, I was fairly certain it was 23.x but there are so many loads in this head. Zmateny Vojak.

My first Savage was the VLP in a 22-250. Shot my best group ever with it, .305 5-shots at 100.
