Savage Model 42 3D printed 22 LR Round Holder

Hi all

Just wanted to share this design I made for the Savage model 42 22lr model (not sure if the barrels are different for the .22 mag).

I uploaded a video explaining how it functions and I've been very happy with it.



If you have a 3D printer they are very simple to produce and the design is available for free if you want to make yourself one. Link is in the video description.

Let me know if you like the design or if I could make any improvements. BTW I love the model 42 - it's one of my favorite guns for small game and plinking! I take it out more than any other gun I own!

Interesting idea. Did you notice any effect on accuracy? Clamping to the barrel like that I'm sure it will have an effect on barrel harmonics, and we all know how fickle rimfire barrels are when it comes to harmonics. I guess you could kind of use it as a tuner in a sense by trying it at different distances to see how it affects accuracy.
