I read on a couple other forums that on Ruger M77's that if the magazine box is too tight it will put pressure on the action that can cause accuracy issues. Is that possible?

I have three 77 tang safety rifle and I have relieved the mag box on all three. I can't say that it has absolutely improved accuracy, but it doesn't hurt a thing to do it. Articles I have read claim as much as 600 lbs of force can be imposed on the action if they are binding which is not good. All it takes is a small file and some time to do it. Luckus
I have a m77 mkii v/t in .243 that has never been accurate. Ruger put a new barrel on it and it has gotten better but still not what I was expecting at around 1.5" groups. I have taken the mag box out and will try it first chance i get. I have debated selling it or having it re barrelled.
