I've been working up loads for a Hunter 11FCNS AccuStock in .223. I bought the rifle to shoot heavy bullets, but have found the most accurate loads are with 52 sierra HPBT match using 26 grains of H335 and CCI BR primers. Five shot groups are averaging less than .5". I tried 55, 60 & 65 grain soft point bullets with various combinations of H335, Varget and RL15-no joy. Any pet loads using heavier hunting type bullets?

The rifle has one real agravation. Unless the magazine is inserted very carefully into the rifle, the bolt will over ride the cartridge. If the mag is inserted correctly, you must work the bolt hard and fast or the rifle will jam with the bullet wedged up into the barrel. This is the only rifle I own with a detachable magazine, so I'm at a loss on a cure for this malady. Should I just send it back to Savage or is there a simple fix?
