    Ring info for new scope?

I just purchased a Burris XTR II 5-25x50 to go on my Savage M10. It had a SWFA 10x42 on it. With the SWFA mounted there was almost 1/2" of space between the scope and barrel. It seems there is ample clearance for the 50mm Burris with the same height rings. The XTR is a 34mm scope, anyone have this optic on their Savage and can give me ring height? I always measured from the saddle of the ring, now it seems measurements are from the middle of the rings.

What rings for long range shooting?

I got the 1" high Burris Signature 34mm rings and they seem to be about the right height. I also have a picatinny rail that makes it a bit higher.

The 1.5 inch were too high for me, but if you don't use a rail the 1" might be too low.

I easily clear a 56 mm optic on my savage with a rail and med varmint barrel with seekins 34mm low(.92) rings.
