    Bell and Carlson stock alignment

Good afternoon fellow Savage shooters. Just wanted to share a little info about whats going on with my old rifle. Model 10 FP 308 4. 275 stagger fed with the old choat skeletonized stock. Shoots about 1/2 moa with gold metal 168. Just bought a vortex hst 6-24x50 with the vmr-1 and the B&C varmit tactical stock in OD black spider web.
Bolted the new stock up and found it off center to the right. Inspected and made minor modifications w/sand paper and test fitted numerous times. Long story short, the bedding blocks appear to be off center to the right.

Can you send it back? That would drive me nuts.

Most likely your recoil lug slightly outside the action diameter on the LH side of the rifle. The B&C stock fit is snug. If in fact your lug is (many many are) you will need to relieve that just enough for the barreled action to drop down in and set true.
