Just curious if anyone has tried this? I have some ideas to help reduce bolt lift but thought I would see if anyone has already completed such a project.

Backstory: bought a model 11 compact 243 youth for my daughter but she finds it a bit difficult to work the bolt, especially post firing. It's the newer style with non adjustable firing pin. Seems that the friction between the BAS and spring could be greatly reduced if the BAS were machined(recessed) for a thrust bearing assembly. I don't believe the removal of a few threads would effect strength or the integrity of the bolt/design. I don't have the capability to machine the BAS for a thrust bearing and not sure if the costs would justify the benefits. Any one else have the ability and want to test the idea?

thanks

disregard I see this was actually just covered under the axis section.
