    1899 Takedown-250-3000

    Hi,
Looking to buy a model 1899-1920 in 250-3000 from a seller a far distance from my place. The seller tell me that he can't see any rifling in the barrel, can it be full of lead or really a worn barrel. Thank for the advise.

Kind of hard to determine without looking at it, but doubtful it's lead since the .250-3000 commonly wasn't a cast bullet rifle. Unless you can get it and clean it, you won't know if it's just crud or shot out! Unless the price is stupid low I'd pass. There's plenty of .250-3000's out there.
