Colorado Prairie Dogs

Got back from Colorado Monday night, had hooked up with Ryan (rinodods) for some Prairie Doggin, my first time. It was awesome !!

Aside from being a fun guy and a great shot, Ryan is a darn good host !!! Much Thanks !!!

We met up around 5:30 and headed out, setting up on the first town just before sunrise.....guess i need to fix the time stamp on my camera ::)

Thanks for posting the pictures, I got a good chuckle from the little guy holding the PETA poster.

Where were you shooting? Private or public land? Did you see many PDogs? How many rounds did you fire?

Private land.

This was my first time for Prairie Dogs so I don't really know what seeing a lot is but, I think we saw a bunch. I understand that there's more in spring than late summer.

Just over 250 rounds in a day.

My closest was 218 yards, farthest was 379. I can totally see how someone could get hooked on this.

I wondered when the pics were gonna hit the site Dave. It sure was a great day of shooting. Had a great time myself. You guys got the hang of hitting those dogs down pretty quick. 379 yrds is no joke in field conditions with a .223 on a tiny target. Glad you all had a good time.
