Factory load for 308, shooting a model 12

My new model 12 from Cabelas has shot the perfecta fmj from walmart really well. I am trying to find a good cartridge to hunt with that will allow the same accuracy. I would really be tickled to match the accuracy of that cheap Perfecta full metal jacket, wish I could find more of the stuff, but I need to go to the bench with some different cartridges to try to find one that this new 12 will like and shoot consistently. I know most of you guys probably load your own, as I did for a few years before life caught up with me, but I would love any comments or suggestions for something out of the box that you or someone you know has had accurate results. This little 147 Perfecta fmj flies real well out to 600yds and I am hoping for something comparable in a hunting cartridge.

Depends on what you are hunting and how far of a shot you expect to take...

mostly deer or less, 300 -600 yds

Federal Premium 165 gr Gameking.

Superb accuracy and kills deer dead from up close to way out there.

If you're gonna limit your range to within 400 yards, the Federal FUSION 165 or 180 gr are VERY accurate and kill deer very dead.

zero, thanks for this, I will pick up a box and give them a try. I will try the gameking first because of the place I hunt just might provide 500 yard opportunity
