Now that I've managed to sort out her quirks, I have to say the 170 is an impressive rifle.
I found that the key to reliable feeding is to keep the shell stop screw tight. Once it loosens up a bit, my rifle starts to double feed.
Her trigger is getting better with use, but it remains the only complaint I have.
The feed cycle isn't too abrupt and as such, crimping the bullet isn't necessary.
Accuracy... Today, with 2 different loads, I shot a composite group of 20 shots that measured a hair over 2 inches at 100 yards. Smallest individual 3 round group was an inch. The largest, 1 5/8's. No room for complaint there. Although unnecessary, that level of accuracy from a 35 Remington hunting rifle is outstanding.
Definately looking forward to blooding her.
