That is definitely a Numrich part number.
I have given up trying to find the correct Savage part number since 1) it's no longer manufactured or available through Savage. 2) The rifles they were installed on predate the Savage Parts Finder database, and 3) There are better Savage related projects to occupy my time.

I totally disagree that the older actions should be passed on for project work. I have found that they are diamonds in the rough, with parts well mated to each other, super pattena, and the bolt to action is smooth as butter.
At my age I don't have the anticipated life or money to restore an early Ford and find great joy these days working on the older Savages bringing them back to serviceablility..
I think Pacific tool and gauge makes a part like that but it is not cheap.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
I went through this dilemma and bought a new .380 long action bolt, <$150 from Numrich. Works with all my old LA actions and I don't have to tear the bolt apart. Just screw on the barrel, insert spare .380 bolt, headspace and shoot.
SSS sells all the parts to convert.... but they are almost as much as the new bolt.
Now, who has a 6TCU Savage small shank???????

Yup Around $70.00 all in then you have to find a LA small diameter firing pin to fit their headbolt.
Well I will know on Saturday if the #1401020A from Numrich will work. If not well then, I have been eyeing the LA .223 bolts on Numrich and will go that route.
Have a 14 twist 6TCU CBI if you're interested.

Received my Numrich order for .223 headbolt 1401020A and it is a SA with small firing pin, so it is not the correct bolt. However,
The PT&G .223 headbolt for a LA is the correct one and has the .140" firing pin configuration. Fortunately PT&G had them in stock and now I am set-up with the proper bolt.
The only tweak I had to do was grind the index key off on the inside of the bolt body.
