Can a .308 Stock Savage mag be used with .223 ammo?

I am going to be using a Savage Accustock 10tr with factory DBM for my .223 Hog Hunter, question is will a factory Savage 10 rnd mag work with .223, if not can it be modded?

My factory DBM and .223 mag

    Thanks
    Randy

I don't think so, but if I can find my 10 round mag I'm going to try. In theory I think it is doable but we will see.

Don't know who came up with that "theory".
