I go to a lot of pawn shops and look at firearms. And every one of them is anywhere from 30 to $100 overpriced. And just it upsets me because I think that you're that dumb. And the only dropped the price about 10 or 20 at the most. They had an AR Ruger for 550 used. They had Patriots and axes with no scopes for around $400. That's about it oh and their ammo there is a cheap $2.59 ammo at Walmart is 459 there

Well I saw a guy do the same thing about a type of gun he decided was worth XXX and the sellers felt it was XXX++
He seemed to think it was unfair.
I think its capitalism at its seldom best.
If the Pawn Shop or owner doesn't get what they want, they will come down.
If they are getting what they want, they will keep asking for that.
Its worth what you can get for it, not what someone thinks its worth.
Lay cash on the table. No deal? Walk.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

I never hit pawn shops anymore for this very reason, and it's not just guns... things like tools are almost as bad, if not worse. I've seen some of the worst looking beat-up dewalt tools I wouldn't give $20 for still going for 75%-80% of retail.
I'm pretty lucky to have a local gun shop who price their used firearms very reasonably... only problem is that if you see something, you best snab it then & there, because if you take time to ponder your purchase, it usually will not be there the next day. I've lost out on a number of killer deals just because I didn't have the $$ at the time, but I've nailed my share as well...
The only reason I ever look at pawn shops for firearms is if I'm looking for an ugly rifle to use for a build platform. Something even the most ignorant of shoppers would turn down due to looks. After it sits a while I can often pick up a rifle for "peanuts" and the only thing I want is the action.
When I go into any shop to buy a firearm I have a price already in mind. I also have cash in pocket. With the exception of "Big Box Stores" I find that cash doesn't just talk, it sometimes "shouts".
BTW, when "negotiating" it helps to not drool all over what you're trying to buy.
Best is to offer them what you're willing to pay, then let them talk it over with themselves. Within a couple of minutes they'll either take your offer or not. Unlike the Pawnshop, you have nothing to loose.
