Angry PLEASE HELP - Can't Remove Stealth 10BA Buffer Tube (What am I doing wrong?)

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to remove the buffer tube on my stealth. I have the Louth-AR MBA-1, a new MDT buffer tube, and their fixed stock adapter, but this ring will not turn.

Please tell me I'm missing something!

From thread - Warning, when removing your buffer tube, loosen hex screw behind pistol grip or you will messup the buffer tube. Dont ask how learned this.
