    "Really good deal!!"

Few years ago I bought a "really good deal" A Savage 22lr BVSS, shiny, nice, as new and a really good deal!!
Took it home, set it in the safe and forgot about it....few month ago I was itching to check her out and shoot some good groups at 50 yards....bought some good brand 22 lr ammo and off to the range I went....Surprise!!>>> this thing was doing 3-5 inch groups with all kind of good ammo!
Ehhh, I thought I had a really good deal here???....
So home we went, checking her out really good....Boyds stock had big barrel channel but stock was touching barrel, somebody had torqued the snot out of the flimsy bottom metal and nearly bend it, the barrel crown had tiny nicks.....action screws almost loose....ohh well!!?
Sandpaper and a broomstick fixed the bull barrel touching any of the stock.....then with a large half round brass bolt, some tooth paste and a drill the crown was polished, the bottom metal was all new fabricated with 1/4 inch aluminium flat stock and finally the action screws where fine tuned by torqe....I named her "Hope" and hoped for the best.....
Off to the range we went, had some RWS, Wolf extra match and yellow Eley in my bags....barrel cleaned like a mirror then two fouling shots.
Home made target set out to exactly 50 yards....first 5 shot group of RWS...0.284 touching >>> BINGO, next group with Eley...0.324 nearly touching >>> BINGO...Wolf extra match ...0.4ish good >>>BINGO

    Well, just like I said....she is a "real good deal"....and a keeper!!

I renamed her HELGA, after my motorcycle....

Now if anybody can show me how to insert darn pictures here....I will do so!!
