    Bedding compound

I know Devon 10110 is the standard bedding compound (aside from others) but I was curious if anyone has ever used Devcon 10780 with success.

If I'm reading correctly 4 minute working time? There's no way I'd try to get an action in place, secured and cleaned up in 4 minutes. It's going to end terribly imo.

Wow I didn't read the 4 minute working time! This is some stuff I had laying around, so it wasn't going to cost anything. Glad I didn't just go for it!

It's still good for little "bedding" jobs like bedding bottom metal, etc.

And, No, I don't normally bed that sort of thing, But if alterring a stock to accept a different trigger guard or dmb "surround" or something like that, I will often relieve too much wood and then back-fill with quick epoxy like that so the fit is good.

I used good-ol fashioned JB Weld for two bedding jobs with zero issues. I'd use it again in a minute.

I'll use JB Weld for bedding scope rails but don't use ANY release agent. In fact I degrease both bottom of rail and top of action. I will put some wax on the screw threads so they are removable at some later date but I want the rail actually bonded to the action. Never move, never come loose, and if I do ever want to remove, a little heat and a smack from a soft faced hammer does the job. Works great on rifles I want more "grip" than a 6-48 screw will give but I don't want to drill, tap, and counterbore on the rail.
