    The Unicorn 35 Remington M 170B

Her favorite load, so far, a 200 grain Sierra, 45 grains of LVR, uncrimped, gives 1- 1 1/2 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yards. Hot ( well, warm) barrel or cold, she just stacks them on top of one another. 10 rounders seem to hover around 2 inches. This with a non free floated barrel and an unfriendly trigger.
Bullets show no tendency telescope into the case from either feeding or recoil. This is good as I do not like to crimp. Cases remain in outstanding condition.
It is impossible to not like this rifle! Now, I just have to strip and oil finish the stocks to bring out the pretty grain...

Hey muddy, I picked up one of these too and I just love it too. These rifles shoulder naturally and they are very accurate and work great.
i also have a 30-30 model 170 that I had re-bored to 375 Winchester to hunt in Ohio with and it really shoots with sierra's 200 gr FN bullets.

I know how you feel. A lgs has a Stevens version in 30 WCF which is a temptation. $ 400 is a bit pricey though. Has that AWFUL green tinged stock finish. A 32-40 or 38-55 would be great calibers too.
Another fine trait of these rifles is their maintenance of point of impact. Solid as a rock day to day. Confidence inspiring...
