I dont have the correct answer but I would imagine it is around 20 inch/lbs. If I may offer a suggestion, add pillars prior to the paint job. You can use lampshade threaded pipe to do it on the cheap with some jb weld or other suitable epoxy. I say this because your plastic stock, and most assuredly a plastic trigger gaurd will compress/yield with any effective level of torque.
Thanks guys
This is a short time stock as I'm building funds for a b&c medalist/tactical
From the Savage FAQ:
Accustock models - 40 inch pounds (including wedge screw)
Centerfire w/ synthetic stock - 30-35 inch pounds
Centerfire w/ wood stock - 30-35 inch pounds
Centerfire w/ laminate stock - 30-35 inch pounds
Rimfire w/ any stock - 15 inch pounds
Excellent. ..thanks again
Torqueing the Accustock is a bit more nuanced than setting your torque wrench to 40 in-lbs and getting to work. The last page is what Savage recommends.
