Both my Model 11 Accu/Accu and Edge rifles are in to my FFL, so I went and did the paperwork on them today. Now, just ten more days......

These are the first Savage guns I have owned, and only the second and third I have handled, an old Navy buddy had a 99.

I was impressed overall. Yes, the Edge has a heavy trigger and hollow tupperware, but the wife knows no better (at least about the stock) and I think she'll actually like the slim grip. Action is smooth, the bolt is very sleek. Haven't figured out the contortion yet for bolt removal/insertion, and will have to do something about the trigger.

The 11 is pretty sweet. I was surprised to see a jeweled bolt, but what absolutely floored me was the trigger. It breaks like the uber-nice single action trigger on my Model 19 Smith & Wesson. It is approaching the area of going off if you think about it hard. It's actually something that will take getting used to for me.

It's gonna be a long 10 days.....
