Got the Bausch & Lomb on and nicely zeroed at 100. The load was a 200 grain Sierra and 45 grains Hodgdon LVR lit with Remington 9 1/2 primers. OAL 2.49. Cases were Hornady and Remington (10 of each).
Recoil and muzzleblast weren't terrible, recoil was a nice pop on the shoulder. Barrel heat was very mild and zilch copper fouling.
The largest group was 2 inches. Blasted trigger... The smallest 11/16. Of the 6, 3 shot groups fired 3 were an inch or less. Really hard to find fault with these results, especially given the tug of war trigger.
Such a good rifle. The cases used are now fired x15 and still look great.
It would appear that I have my deer/bear load. Still wish I could get a couple hundred 200 grain Core Lokts...
