    wood stock torque specs please

The manual lists inch-pounds for the Accustock only. Well I have the Model 14 Classic with the wood stock and I'd like to know to what inch pounds I should torque the action screws. Please advise-
    Many thanks!

Hand tight is all that is needed.
If you have a stock that is so picky it needs torqued to a certain weight, then it has a bedding problem.

I believe I have read somewhere that with a wood stock 35-40in/lbs. is more than enough. Any more than that and you might start to crush the wood.
If you are having problems might be a good idea to put in pillars, you can buy factory pillars or make some from lamp rod, either way it is not that difficult, there are plenty of threads here on the subject but you need to pay for a membership $12 in order to look them up.

The main reasons I use a torque driver on action screws:

Prevent damage to the stock ( you will crush a wood stock that doesn't have metal pillars if you go to 65 inch pounds)

Return to original zero if I have to remove the stock for some reason.

--- changing the torque on the stock screws even with a 100% correctly bedded stock can change your zero and can impact accuracy.
