Has anyone customized the savage 10 BA Stealth chassis and butt stock

I'm thinking about having my chassis and butt stock cerekoted, this will be my primary deer rifle

if anyone has done this I'd like to see some pics to get some ideas.

    thanks in advance

I've looked into having one of my AR's cerekoted or duracoated in a camo pattern a couple times over the years, but what I've found is that the quality of the camo job is totally dependent on the person doing the work. To put it nicely, a lot of people offering these services have little to no artistic ability as their camo jobs look like....well...something you try not to step in. Don't focus on the pictures they post on their website as those are often sample photo's provided by the coating manufacturer or they're personal guns they took the time to do right. Instead look at the photo's of work they did on customers guns as more often than not the camo pattern will be pretty sparse. This is especially true when you get into the more detailed and labor intensive patterns like digital camo, Kryptek and Multicam.

Take the time to find a GOOD applicator, and be willing to spend a little more for their higher quality work.

Bulldog stencils work well, I've done a couple, also using a sea sponge works well too. Here's a 10/22 titan stock I did with krylon,

This is one a local shop did for me. They did great work, was expensive, and was worth it.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
