Welcome aboard
I've been an avid shooter since I was age 7. Started when I went to a YMCA summer camp and haven't lost the " bug" in over 67 years.
My interest is in Target shooting but refuse to be strictly a Benchrest shooter. I prefer to build my rifles in a more "tactical" style so I can shoot them pretty much anywhere I can find to shoot legally. All shooting from a bipod with a rear "bean bag". The challenge which keeps me interested is extracting near benchrest accuracy from a tactical style rifle.
I prefer to build my own rather than buying customs from various gunsmiths. I have a world renown rifle barrel maker just 6 miles up the road from me so when it's time to build another rifle I merely drop off my action, tehy install the barrel of my choice, and I finish all the rest of the work.
I became a widower in October 2016 and now find myself at the range at least twice per week. What I have invested in hand-loading equipment would buy some a fairly nice car.
My personal challenge is to always seek better accuracy without ending up with a single purpose rifle. If I wanted that I'd build a Rail Gun and just spend my time pulling the trigger.
Each of my favorite rifles, .223, .308, and 6.5 Creedmoor, all shoot Sub .25 MOA with ease. All feature Benchmark Barrels.

You don't know what you don't know.
Welcome from the red state of WV. Blue is almost an understatement.
Welcome from a fellow Washingtonian
What part of this blue state are you in? Actually, the state runs pretty red east of the Cascades, but I'm in Seattle, which glows blue at night!
