    Savage model 12 newbie questions

    Hi all
Waiting on my savage model 12 to come in, I've paired it up with a night force 15-55x52 competition. Looking for a Feedback with someone who has experience with this combination, or someone with the knowledge to tell me what would be the rest best rail, and how tall are the rings I need . I will be shooting at 200 yards sometimes, mostly at 300 and 600 yards. That's all my local range offers at this time. Thanks and advance for your responses.

Which model 12 did you buy?
Banning a gun will not solve what is a mental health crisis inflamed by incendiary rhetoric on social and television media. The first amendment in this case is less precious and more likely the causal factor than the second amendment.

I have DNZ mounts on my model 12-FV. Nothing stronger in my opinion. Check them out.

I went with Warne but only because I like them and solid USA with a good product line, I don't know if they are higher, lower etc.

I have a model 12 f/tr with the same NF competition scope. you don't need that much height. i use an armalite unimount on mine on top of EGW 0-MOA rail.

If you're going to shoot at 1,000 yds. you will want a 20 MOA rail.

Or go with the 0 MOA rail and a 20 MOA LaRue mount. I love me a LaRue mount.

I like Farrell products, https://www.kenfarrell.com/, standard base and low rings should work well. My new favorite rings are from American Rifle Company.
