savage 110 ba stealth 338 lm stock issues

so I decided to replace the stock on my stealth 338 with a magpro prs. I put it on and there is a strange space between the stock and the back of the receiver right where the buffer tube screws into the receiver. Is there an adapter that needs to be installed? The space lets your thumb ride up between the back of the trigger guard and the front of the stock in such a way you really would not want to pull the trigger, any thoughts or ideas

Ill get some up as soon as I can. actually found a scorpion hand grip that with a little "fitting" makes it better but still not what im after
