1967 Model 99M (DL) Gold Inlay - Pics

    Hi,

Ive had this in my collection for decades and pulled it out of the safe today to clean it up and got some closeup/detail pics of it.

I know its 99M (DL?) MFGR date 1967, .243 with MC stock, but the finish and inlays history are alluding me right now.

    Thoughts?

VERY NICE!! It's a 99DE Citation Grade, next higher grade is the Presentation. 1965-1970. First engraved models since 1941. $225 new! In .243, .284, and .308.

Maybe... all the data I see shows the Citation Grade with SN 1140000+

This one is 113xxxx (1967). the DATE falls in line, but not the SNs for the 99DE Citation Grade. and its Gold inlay, I don't see any other DE Citation Grade in Gold.

did they make the 99DE Citation grade with lower than 1140000 SNs?

It says the same thing Savage says "your gun is dated after 1951"

The serial number on it tells me 1967, other than that, I'll have to snail mail a latter to the historical guys. ThTs why I was hoping someone could help

That 6W date code puts it at 1969 and the DE was offered that year, it's a DE.
    Savage- "never say never".
