Got any pics of it?
I found a Stevens single shot 12g, hammerless, gun with a ribbed barrel...the first 5 inches of barrel is octagon, stock and forearm are very checkered an also has an auto-ejector. No model or identity marks anywhere except for the Stevens label on one side of the action. Almost has the look of a Model 94. Serial # 110 but I can't match that to my serial number dbase.
Any ideas what this is?
Thanks

Yes, pictures. I have a number of Stevens catalogs which might show your gun, or at least give a clue. The octagon barrel is curious. I'm not aware that they used those on any shotguns. Rifles, yes. In the 1890 - 1916 period most full size rifles had half-octagon barrels.
Whatever it is I'm sure it's been modified quite a bit.
