    Model 11 mag

I have a savage 22-250 model 11 trophy predator hunter and I am not a huge fan of the mag. I don't like the plastic clip and I have feeding issues as well. Does someone know where can I get a bigger mag and different mag release setup? The 22-250 caliber mag seems pretty hard to find.

your stock requires the use of the plastic bottomed mag.

My guess is your simply needs some tweeking. Try opening the lips a little bit and see if that helps.

I was hoping someone made a some sort of mod to change that.

The slower you feed from the mag the worst the cartridge will feed and hang up. This is what I have noticed with all the Savage mags I have.

    Feed the cartridges faster.

Someone has, but I don't think you'll like the answer...

Change stock, add traditional all metal bottom metal for the all metal mag. $10 for metal bottom piece for mag, $125 for bottom metal, $150-700 for stock.

I have a couple of videos on YouTube that will help. I have one on changing the bottom metal to model 10 bottom metal, it doesn't use the plastic clips. I also have a video where I made a 20rd mag and since the 22-250 has the same 308 parent case any 308 mag will work. Just search Savage 20rd mag on YouTube and you will find my videos
