    Ole" Gun Clinger from the Home of Straub Beer


    I recently purchased my first Savage. It is a model 99, and I am very impressed with the quality of it. I have been a Winchester and Ruger rifle guy all my life. I like S&W's, Colts, and early Sig Sauers when it comes to handguns. My wife and I are both avid shooters and hunters, now enjoying full retirement. We like to travel, especially "in country" with our Little Guy teardrop camper. We took a 35 day trip out west this past summer, and words cannot describe how great that was! I have always been a pro-gun activist, and a supporter of GOA, NRA, Second Amendment Foundation, and several others. I will look much harder at older Savage firearms when I go to shows, and shops, from now on. Hope to see you out there.
