? for the Smiths of the group.

I have seen rifles where they took a Remington 700 andmade it fit Savage barrels. Whats the cost to do this? I have a 1968 Remington BDL in 270. I would like to have that work done to it just to keep her in service.

Why not purchase a Remage barrel pre-fit? McGowen, Criterian have them. Bugholes.com(Southern Precision) can spin a Bartlein or Kreiger Remage barrel if you want to go that route.

They don't make them fit Savage Pre-fit barrels. The barrels are simply threaded for the Remington barrel Tennon without a shoulder like a savage. and a Barrel nut threaded to match is included. This is referred to as a Rem-Age set up.... You can order everything you need from Northland Shooter Supply or a few others that are out there.

Why not just let Bugholes make another bugholer out of it?
Tell them to tune up the good trigger also, or send that off to Neil Jones.
