Keeki beat me to it.
Burris makes some good stuff there. They do however have a Burris factory there with Burris equipment and Burris employees, so their stuff is not some "contract" low bidder product as is common with some others, who dont manufacture scopes per say, but put their name on a product that's been farmed out for manufacture.
Sure wish they would move production back to the US.

Not really sure where it was made but I have an older Bushnell Elite 3200 that I picked up on clearance a decade or so ago that has served me well. I also have whatever Bushnell Savage put on the model 11 hunter XP that's not the brightest and granted I dont shoot it much, but so far it has held zero for a several range trips over the last couple of years.
I would avoid anything in the plastic clamshell package for sure.

What's the plastic clamshell package?

Like you see hanging on a hook at the big box stores. You know that packaging that makes you cuss every time you try to open that ####

Also remember that L.O.W. which is seen as "Quality Japanese glass" from MANY high dollar domestic scope names. Uses glass among other things from their subsidiaries in the Philippines.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
I have a couple Burris scopes made in the Philippines and they are working fine.
