Found a 64 that was new, unfixed at the pawn shop this week. For $100 I felt it would be irresponsible to not take it home and try it out. I got it to the range today and it's a good little rimfire rifle.

The good: it's inexpensive, accurate out of the box with irons, easy to take down and clean. The stock is surprisingly stout for savage, seems stiffer than my axis or 116.

The bad: it's kind of a 'you get what you get' rifle. There isn't much after market support. So other than upgraded trigger springs and a scope, it's going to stay basic. So if I was looking for a budget plunked or small game truck gun, this is perfect.
