    Big safety tang

Hey guys first post so don't beat me up to bad if this is wrong place or repeat topic. The only savage I have ever owned is a 7mm 08 axis but I'm wanting to build a 284 win on a long action savage platform . I like the savage action but despise the ones with the narrow thin safeties that are hard to operate so I'm asking to see which of the actions besides the axis have a fat safety tang.

Secondly which actions have detachable mags

Thirdly which action has the best selection of aftermarket tactical stocks available? Thanks for the help

Pay the fee to be a member and watch the classifieds. There is an excellent action that you could buy in 110 and assemble the parts.

Otherwise, watch pawn shops, or gunbroker for a cheap old 30-06 or .270 to buy.

The Bottom bolt release has the large safety lever.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
