Welcome aboard
I'm more of a older/classic Savage/Stevens guy. I love my Levers and SA revolvers. I shoot competitively as much as work and momma allows. NRA Bullseye shooter since mid 1980's and shot Silhouette, IPSC and IDPA for a few years. Now I enjoy Plate matchs and 3GUN competitions.
I have loved the Savage 23 & 24 since I knew what they where.
I have worked in the gun industry for over thirty years as Sales, inside and outside, A NRA firearms instructor and reloading instructor. Training civilian as well as Local and Federal levels.
I have been enjoying the 300 Blackout caliber lately. Semi and Bolt. Its remarkably accurate, light recoiling and not loud. Everything I use to enjoy about my beloved 32-20's.
I enjoy hunting Deer and Varmints. esp Coyote. I have a favorite Savage 23b in 25/20 thats a awesome coyote shooting machine! My Savage 219 and 220 shotguns and Rifles see daylight a few times a year and are fun to shoot in 16, 12, 22Hornet and 30-30 calibers. last year I bought a very nice Stevens 5100 thats dated to the late 1920's and I just finished refinishing a well worn Savage 311D 12ga. It had beautiful figured BIRCH beneath years of nasty stain and oil.
Hope I can offer assistance as much as I learn.
