Mobile winter range, Mountain Man style.

Finally got it figured out. Hitch mounted bench. 20mm ammo can wood stove. Trusty Red Pointing Labrador for a spotter. Astroturf brass catch mat.

    Doesn't get better.

Did you buy the receiver hitch bench? Or build it?

Picked up a tailgate extender at a yard sale for 5 bucks and MIG welded the rest together with whatever steel was laying around. Stole a swivel seat off my Jon boat before Isold it and welded it on. I'm going to install a tongue jack on it to make it a lot more solid and adjustable as far as angle. Do a lot of uphill shooting around here....

It's too windy here to shoot over 300 yards from a vehicle - especially without stabilizer jacks. No more snow than we've had, it's easier to go prone.

I should also mention that you look to have more wind tree cover than we do.

Cool! Now make a splitter bracket and mount a toilet seat and you'll be all set, but I'd say you would want to move the truck before or after, lol!
