CHANGING BOLT HEADS

I just bought one of the Academy 7mm08 Stevens for $179.00. I have a 6mm barrel blank that I want to make a 6mm/223(6x45mm).

This will necessitate a bolt head change to 223 size from 308 and a possible magazine change.

What parts do I need and where is the best place to get them?

You will need a bolt head, front baffle, and complete magazine.

Try SSS they have all you need.

Don't forget ejector pin and probably an extractor. Extractor may/may not work with new bolt head.

Or you can buy a complete bolt and swap with barrels.
