Which box magazine do I need?

I have an old Savage barreled long action that I paid $50 for a while back. I don't think it was too bad of a deal. It used to be a side button detachable magazine. I just stashed it to be used at a later date, and that time is now. I plan on barreling it in 358 Winchester. I want to change it over to a regular blind box magazine. Looking at Numrich, there are multiple different long action box mags. Which one would be correct?

I think more info is needed. What is the spacing on the action screws? What is it chambered in now?

It's a long action. The spacing is the same for all of them. Chambered in 30-06 at present.

It looks to me that the first two are the same, long action and blind mag. The other two you posted links to do not appear to have feed lips, so I have no idea regarding them. You will still need a follower w/spring and you may have a problem feeding the 358 (based on .308 cartridge) through the longer mag, but I could be wrong. I'm sure others with more experience with converting a long action to a short action cartridge will be along with better info.

Just to establish the age of our action what is the letter and first three numbers of the serial number. It may help to head off some miss information and/or confusion.

I'd go with the first one.

The little tabs on the ends of the mag will catch into grooves milled in the bottom of the receiver. Put the front tab in the front slot first then place a large flat screwdriver on the rear tab at the angle right where it meets the mag body. Bump the screwdriver firmly and the blind mag box will pop right into place.
I have found removal of stagger feed blind mag boxes to be more difficult than installation.

Either one of the first two look good to me.
